I have the asrock x370 taichi and also have the Trident Z RGB RAM cl16 (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR). Are these two compatible with each other at the max 3200mhz frequency? If not what is the lowest frequency i can get it to for it to boot stable? Link to the ram i have: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232476&cm_re=trident_z_rgb-_-20-232-476-_-Product

Compatible, yes.
3200, meh, don't get your hopes up. They're Hynix A-die. The good thing is they are Single Rank, Single Sided. I would try the 1.0.0.6 BIOS first as Hynix seem(s)(ed) to prefer that BIOS rev. over 1.0.0.6a BIOSes. |

What, a TridentZ memory model with Hynix memory chips? Not Samsung B-die? Of course, G.SKILL does only include Intel systems in the QVL: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16d-16gtzr What's the lowest frequency/speed you can get it to boot stable? We can see that is 2133. I assume you mean what is the highest frequency you can get it to boot stable, if not at 3200? Usually that is 2933 for Samsung B-die chip memory, if not more. 2667 is the Ryzen max specification. Which CPU are you using? We'll need to see how your model cooperates. It's very difficult to predict memory speed potential with Ryzen, if the memory does not use Samsung B-die chips. You'll just need to experiment with memory speeds and timings and see what happens. The XMP profile is no doubt designed for Intel systems so some manual memory tweaking will be necessary for higher speeds. The SOC voltage set to ~1.1V from the default 0.900V, for example. |

BTW, just saw that this new memory is Threadripper/X399 only and only 4 channel. Enjoy, John.
