After using the system for weeks it crashed when I was not looking and after rebooting I could not get an internet connection so I did the following:
X470 Taichi Motherboard AM4 AMD Ryzen 2700X CPU Radeon RX 590 Graphics Gskill DDR4 3600 16 gig Ram X2 in SLot A2 B2 Bios Version 3.5 AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 24.9.1 Running Windows 11 24H2 with Nord VPN Installed: NordLynx Tunnel TAP-NordVPN Windows Adapter V9 WAN Miniport Adapters (standard distribution)----Below area more steps taken The system ran great for several weeks then just crashed (no blue screen - Just shut down) and after restarting the Networking [Ethernet, WIFI, Drop-In Ethernet Port] shows not Operational so no Internet connection or Bluetooth. Network Hardware and Connection Properties from Settings: Name: Bluetooth Network Connection Description: Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Physical address (MAC): d4:3b:04:64:e5:c8 Status: Not operational Maximum transmission unit: 1500 IPv4 address: 169.254.117.43/16 IPv6 address: fe80::e87b:1b6d:5c9:fe2e%11/64 DNS servers: fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1 (Unencrypted) fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1 (Unencrypted) fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1 (Unencrypted) Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Disconnected Name: Ethernet Description: Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller Physical address (MAC): a8:a1:59:07:a4:e0 Status: Not Present Maximum transmission unit: 0 Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Disconnected Name: Bluetooth Network Connection 2 Description: Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) #2 Physical address (MAC): c0:b8:83:c6:f7:81 Status: Not Present Maximum transmission unit: 0 Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Disconnected Name: Wi-Fi Description: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz Physical address (MAC): c0:b8:83:c6:f7:7d Status: Not Present Maximum transmission unit: 0 Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Disconnected Name: Local Area Connection* 9 Description: Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter Physical address (MAC): c0:b8:83:c6:f7:7e Status: Not Present Maximum transmission unit: 0 Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Disconnected Name: Local Area Connection* 10 Description: Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2 Physical address (MAC): c2:b8:83:c6:f7:7d Status: Not Present Maximum transmission unit: 0 Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Disconnected Proxy Auto Detect: On I have tried: turning off the network settings in the Bios restarting and then turning them back on. Reinstalling BIOS 3.2 and no change. Installed BIOS 3.40 no change. Installed Bios 3.5 still no change reinstalling network drivers Network reset Network Flush Then I moved the hardware [Ryzen 2700X CPU, Gskill 16 gig 3600 X 2 RAM, Sabrent 1tb NVME Drive, and Rx 590 Graphics card] to an Asrock B450M Pro4, Corsair RM850i Power Supply. Everything worked normally. To make sure it was not a corrupt Windows I did a complete wipe and fresh install of Windows 11 24h2 and installed fresh AMD Adrenaline Edition 24.9.1 on the Asrock B450M Pro4, all worked as expected. Then swapped the NVME drive into the X470 Taichi and still no internet connection. I then moved all the components back to the X470 Taichi and the network is not seen by Windows 11 24h2. I have no internet access and even installed a Network 1g ethernet board into different PCIE Slots (that worked on the B450 Pro) but not on the X470. I have then attached a USBC Ethernet dongle to the X470 Taichi and now connects to the internet. I have then rolled back to Windows 10 and now the Ethernet Port flashes Orange, however, is still not recognized. The realtek pcie gbe family controller is not showing in device manager, The WIFI driver is not showing in device manager, Bluetooth is showing, A 1gig Network adapter card does not get recognized (tried in several PCIE Slots). The cable and Modem work fine as it worked with the ASRock B450M Pro4 board and a separate laptop. When I tried to install the Intel Controller from the ASRock web site I get a popup saying The Realtek Network Controller was not found if Deep sleep Mode is enabled Please plug the Cable. I am hoping someone can help, Thanks |
