Most high speed CL16 sticks seem to be Hynix A, B, or M die

Yes, I did the mistake with GSkill's TridentZ 3200 C16.

Now, after reading and reading and reding on forums, I can be sure all Gskill or Corsair 3200 C16 are Hynix. To get the so much beloved B-dies, you have to look at 3200 C14, 3466 C15 or 3600 C16 as a minimum, and beg manufacturers don't change to Hynix or Micron again at those speeds :-(

Anyway, with current Agesa 1.0.0.6a UEFI, I can get the TridentZ 3200C16 2x8 sticks Hynix MFR at 2933 14-15-15 stable at 1.375v to avoid cold boot loops, so it's worth to test it at that speed on the OP's Taichi.

I read recently that it will continue to go up!

Your Corsair 3600 and (I think...) G.SKILL 4000 memory are not Samsung B-die?

The memory manufactures really should state the source of the memory chips in their specifications. Instead, we get to discover what they are after we buy them, or when users post ThaiphoonBurner screen shots of their memory. I imagine the manufactures are afraid to include the memory chip manufacture, since enthusiasts would avoid certain types.

Remember the Samsung Green DDR3 "magic memory", that worked with any DDR3 memory controller? You could mix unmatched DIMM kits and they would still OC a step or two above their rated speed. Multi-DIMM kits of this memory didn't even have sequential serial numbers, apparently not matched at all.

I finally have my 3200 FlareX 2 x 8GB working at 3066 stable in my X370 Killer SLI/ac board. 14 14 14 28 1T, GearDownMode disabled. Just tweaked advanced timings and reduced SOC voltage to 1.1V. So close to 3200 now, but Windows just won't start. No BSOD but also no Desktop.

Hey, where is our tREF setting in the UEFI, ASRock?

The tRC setting has a mind of its own, "correcting" itself. Be sure to check it after trying a higher memory OC, at least mine will remain higher after a memory OC fails.

Also, Restart to UEFI works for me now consistently, even at 3066. I thought a memory OC was breaking it but that seems to not be the case. I have Advance(d) Boot Training disabled... I wonder...

My 2 kits of F4-4133C19D-16GTZA are Sammy B-die
My 2 Kits of CMK16GX4M2B3600C18 are Sammy B-die
My 1 remaining Kit of F4-3200C16D-16GTZB is Sammy E-die

My other 2 kits are unbranded Hynix 3200MHz

edit: added unbranded

That's a good question.

It's there, and it changes by what mem I put in.

Guess I'll have to discover what Auto setting it is.

tREF must be set to something, but we don't have access to it, on either of the two DRAM Configuration screens.

That is, we don't have a tREF option in either screen that I can see, or off by itself like GearDownMode.

I noticed this while using Ryzen Timing Checker screenshots. We have most of the options shown in that display, but not all of them.
