I have x299 Taichi with 7820x. Everything was running fine, but after updating Samsung 960 EVO 1TB firmware my PC won't power on. PSU is Seasoning PRIME 860W.
Firmware update (through Samsung Magician) did a shutdown. After that no longer powers on. On motherboard just the led around chipset cover is illuminated. Tried unplugging, CMOS reset, removed bios battery, removed the M.2 SSD, tried different powercord. Still won't post. Tried hard jumping using pwr pins on motherboard, so it's not a power button issue. Instead of the M.2 SSD firmware update, it could have been some windows update also that is causing this. I usually keep my PC powered for weeks. Even then I usually just reset it. Last time I did shut down could have been months ago. Could someone advice me how to proceed.
