I contacted the distributor, and the Sound Blaster is EOL. Thumbs Down

I would love to have the Game Blaster, and trow the D2X out of my System:
http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1116&title=game-blaster

But I don't know if it works on AMD boards...

You should try also an upgrade to FX 8300 also.
It's cheap, 95W TDP, its better in oc than FX 8120 and 5-7% nore performance per clock due to Pilledriver core improvements.

The heat-sink on the VRM and Chip-set is wider and shorter,
so the installation of the Thermalright HR-02 is made easier.
NB heat-sink is a bit smaller, but it makes the job done
and does not overheat in any-way.

Intel GLAN is great, but just one GLAN port is a downgrade.

DIMM slots are made with the "cheaper" lock mechanism,
and they are a bit "flimsy".

The same goes for the PCI-e slot lock mechanism, the image on the web is a lie,
it does not use the "push-in to lock" mechanism as the Pro board.

UEFI is great, OC-ability and stability is a bit higher,
but the over-volt does kick in more Volts to the core.
The 990FX Pro - just about 0.03V OV.
The 990FX Ex9 - about 0.07V OV.

Seems not much, but in case I set the voltage to 1.25, I get about 1.32V,
and with the Pro I get just 1.28V.

My major complain is about the IO shield. It's so thin and flimsy,
like on every entry-level board.
The 990FX Pro had the better solution, with a steal plate, so it does
not flex nor brake.

The Pro IO shield is full compatible with the Ex9, except the empty GLAN spot,
there is no difference on the IO.

Ex9 has the XFast RAM build in - and the Pro has the Fatal1ty mouse port with 1000Hz refresh rate.

It both works fine for me - but I would like to see both features on both boards,
because it is just a software feature in the AXTU and the FSTU.

Overall, I love them both. Best two AM3+ boards nowdays.

I tested the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-GD7, 990FXA-GD80 and the ECS 990FXA-M Deluxe,
and the Fatal1ty 990FX Pro was superior to them (so the Ex9 would be).

The ASUS boards were not handed to me at this time, so I can't judge.
But I can say that ASRock AMD AM3+ 990FX boards are Rock stable
and pack the best features for the price.
