Greetings, I recently purchased the Z390 Taichi Ultimate and the ASRock Polychrome RGB isn't working. The app takes about 5 minutes to launch or goes into a app error loop which needs to be force quit. When the app does load, nothing happens when you select different colors or mods.
I updated the bios to version 1.38 I saw something similar when search the forums here and they said to flash it. I tried both .\wICPFLASH.exe /File=nu51_2.06 and .\wICPFLASH.exe /File=nu51_1.10 commands and still not working. Anyone able to assist? Edited by Lymen - 01 Nov 2018 at 11:56pm |

Bump, same issue. I installed Polychrome 1.0.20 and tried both flashes (2.06 and 1.10). No response to the onboard Z390 Taichi LEDs.
Initial install, the lights were in glowing formation. Upon first use of the software, they went to always-on white. Now they are completely turned off. |

***WORK-A-ROUND***
Got it to work, sorrta... Installed the latest bios 1.51 and Windows 10 build from 10/28/18 and nothing else besides the PolychromeRGB(v1.0.23) program and it worked. I previously tried this and with an older win10 build from January and the last bios version and it failed. Hope this helps. Lymen |

Lymen,
I had suspected it was a software issue like this. These boards are relatively new and all the software quirks have probably not been figured out yet. I will give that a shot with updating the Bios and Windows. Mike |
