Bought this mobo to upgrade from an older similar type (cpu combo, onboard everything) for a mediaserver.
The system only boots to the UEFI bios page. When I tell it to boot, I get "no boot device found". Same if I goto the advacned menu and try todo a network download of drivers. The hdd is recognized in SATA1. I can take the drive out and attach it externally to another PC and it seems fine. googling a bit, is it because the boot drive is formatted in NTFS or is that something from years ago? If so, anyone have an idea how to "fix" that. The issue isn't having another drive to copy or whatever, the issue is not losing the windows key on the disk. |

Dear Kmedia,
Thank you for choosing ASRock. Regarding your case, the J3455-ITX only support UEFI (GPT) mode, if you connect a legacy (MBR) OS, it cannot recognize it. Please refer to the following link to change the MBR disk to GPT disk to try. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/disk-management/change-an-mbr-disk-into-a-gpt-disk Thank you! Yours truly, ASRock TSD |

thank you. I suspected something like this. I had a spare disk so I reinstalled windows on it and it boots now.
