Hello, I am setting up a new system, basic specs below:
CPU: i7-7820x
PSU: EVGA 850 G3
MOTHERBOARD: ASRock taichi xe x299
Graphics card: GTX 1070

The motherboard has a 24 pin atx power port and two 8 pin atx CPU ports. The G3 has the same. My confusion comes from the cabling on the G3. The cables labeled CPU have the 8 pin atx slot for the motherboard in two 2x2s and the full 4x4 for the PSU side. However the two 2x2s don't seem to have the same keying as the motherboard. The motherboard slot is keyed with one row like square, hex, hex, square and the other hex, square, square, hex. When I place the 2x2s side by side ( as they would be put in the motherboard) they don't seem to match that layout. However the full 4x4 side does match that. Hopefully this makes sense. Am I doing something wrong setting this up? Do I even need to plug in these extra CPU power cables?

Thanks!
