After attempting to re-install Win10 on a working SSD (had Win 7 on it) and re-installing Win7 on a WD 2TiB HDD, which had user data on it, I've arrived at the point where not one of my 5 HDD's are recognized by the BIOS. BIOS had been updated, on my Z97 Extreme6/ac, to V2.0 and had Spector updates applied. All was working well for at lest 8 months until I spent 48 hours fighting with the MB, SSD and two HDD's attempting to move my OS's around. Tried all 5 HDD's with different data and power cables. After trying them on another desktop and finding that that MB's BIOS and partedmagic would recognize 3 of the HDD's I've thought that maybe the ASRock MB has a firmware or SATA controller problem. Switched BIOS from A to B and cleared CMOS (for the 5th time). Still no recognization of any of the 5 drives. P.S., MB is running Win10 on the SDD. Would like to fix this crippled MB. How to do? Attempt to re-flash BIOS A? Don't want to change B since that's all that's left.
