Which vpn you are using because most of the vpns are not supporting PPTP more. But I share a guide may be it will solve your issue.

Welcome,
I have a problem with VPN. I have configured a VPN PPTP connection and I can't connect because the router blocks the output. I checked the firewall and turned it on - it doesn't work. From the outside you can easily connect via VPN blocked is only the output. |
