Strange 64k Memory Error

   CPU: Ryzen 2600x
RAM: G.Skill Aegis DDR4 F4-3000 8GB x2
MOBO: ASrock B450 Pro4

     So both my motherboard and RAM are fresh out of the box and put straight into a case and the first thing I do is check the UEFI once I get everything set up. I bought DDR4 3000 MHz RAM and I noticed the motherboard automatically set it to 2134 instead. There was an XMP profile for the RAM that I saw above it for a clock of 3000. I applied it and when I clicked save and exit, it gave me 3 short beeps. I went into the UEFI again and let it stay at 2134 and everything was fine, no error. When it booted into windows, I checked what it was running at and it said 2134 so I decided to shut down and try to apply the 3000 clock again but got the same error code.

	Disclaimer: I don't own the B450 version, just calling out the basics, and a tidbit learned from my B350. 1. If it's not already, you may want to update the BIOS to the latest version (1.80), it may well fix your problem. 2. After setting the XMP profile, go down and adjust the the speed from 3000 down to 2933 ( whatever it has just below 3000). The QVL lists for the 450 (and 350) versions show that a fair number of tested kits only officially support the 3000Mhz memory at a very slightly lower setting. This is how it was with my AB350M Pro4...just wouldn't take 3000. (In all honesty, you're probably not going to even tell the difference between 2134 and 3000 anyway. Apart from the nagging feeling that you might have been able to save a couple dollars.)

	Another part of your issue is that G.Skill's Aegis RAM is tuned for intel systems. Their equivalent for AMD is their "Fortis" range. It is exceedingly common for intel tuned kits to simply not function at their XMP rating on AM4/TR4 systems. While there are sometimes ways around this they require considerable knowledge and patience. I generally recommend returning the incompatible kit/s and replacing them with something more suitable. G.Skill offer's it's Fortis range for similar prices to the Aegis kits like the one you have.
