I had the same issue on my pc with a X470 Taichi Ultimate mobo and a Samsung 850 EVO 1TB. m.2 ssd.
These 2 mobo's m.2 slot 2 appears to be useless. Just use m.2 slot 1. Personal note using m.2 slot 1 for your ssd still leaves your video card running at it's normal x16 speed, instead of x8. |

Dear Scy,
Greetings, this is ASRock TSD. According to your question, we provide some suggestions for verifying: 1. Please format the M.2 device. 2. Please make sure there is no device plugged to PCIE5 slot since M.2_2 and PCIE 5 share lanes. 3. Please install another M.2 device to verify. 4. Please remove all of the devices and only leave the necessary device such as CPU, one memory and one M.2 plugged to M.2_2 slot to verify. 5. Please refer to user manual page 30 to clear CMOS. http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Manual/X470%20Taichi.pdf Thanks! All the best, ASRock TSD |
