That will be my last AMD upgrade on the AM3+ platform.
I'm waiting for AM4 "Zen", and I hope the Zen-FX will work on AM3+
boards (if they will have the DDR3 IMC).

If not, the FX-83xxE will be mine.

You are most welcome Thumbs Up

You will not regret getting an FX 8xxxE CPU on that board.

The E FX CPUs are definitely the way to go yes they are better binned and are also a much more recent addition to the lineup and so have benefited from all the fabrication tweaks and improvements that have happened over the years. One of the major benefits of a CPU that has been in production this long is that they are very refined when it comes to binning now.

FX-8370E is the "most wanted" CPU for overclock IMO.

Yea, was thinking the same. The price is almost the same here in Denmark. The 9k Series is around 300Dollars and the 8k is around 270.

Im running some Custom 360 XSPC Watercooling, so i think i'd just OC the 8k

In all honesty I would not waste money on the FX 9k series, they have a stupid high TDP for very little benefit over the FX 8k series. They are in essence a slightly better binned FX 8xxx with higher vcore and turbo speeds. Get yourself an FX 83xx and feel secure with your purchase and if you want more from it you can always overclock to close to, if not matching the 9k series.

Hello guys !

Im standing here running an Oldschool AMD Phenom II X6 1100T which unfortunatly broke on me.

So im looking for a new CPU. On the board it says 140w CPU But on the specifications list it says it supports up to 220w

So, heres the question: Does it support the FX9590 ?

Best Regards Mansgroll
