Hey all, short question : does this board use beep codes, or have an LED to indicate whether or not it's receiving power properly?

my PC stopped booting up yesterday and I'm trying to trouble shoot to see what the problem is. I believe it's either my board or one/both ram sticks, as the problem started when I uninstalled and reseated both sticks yesterday after noticing that my PC was only registering one of them. I am positive I did not damage the connectors on the board or the sticks, but its possible one connector was already bad, as when I ordered the PC from nzxt, the B1 sticks fell out during delivery. I simply reinstalled the stick and the machine booted up fine and gave me no problems for the two months I've had it.

Since yesterday (after removing both sticks at once,) I try starting up and the power light on the case comes on, but the PC just hums for about 20 seconds then cuts off. It does that over and over until I flip the power switch. all the fans work until I disconnect the 24 pin running from the power supply to the board, BUT no peripherals are getting any power.

But my main concern is that when I try booting up with no ram sticks, and even with the GPU removed, I get no beep codes to indicate that the board is aware the memory and/or GPU has been removed. Does this board not use them or is the board supposed to be giving them and mine is broken?

I don't think any of the connectors are bad because none of them were even touched until after I started having this issue. Before removing both ram sticks at the same time, everything ran fine.

Nzxt is a great company and has provided labeling to send it back so they can fix it, but I don't want to be down longer than I have to if this is something you guys can help me with. Let me know what you think.

Zotac gforce gtx 1060 6gb GPU

Two nzxt CPU fans and one kraken liquid cooler
Samsung SSD and Seagate barracuda hd
Nzxt e series 650w power supply

Thanks for any help!

You would need a beeper connected to the mobo if you want to hear anything. This mobo doesn't have one built-in. There is no LED debugs codes either.

There are cheap beepers pretty much everywhere. Just observe polarity.

It's also advised that you re-seat the RAM in A2/B2 slots (why on Earth did you even fiddle with them in fist place?). Check all cables and peripherals, connectors, etc. Then clear CMOS and try booting again.

The board only has two slots a1 and b1.

Like I said I fiddled with them because I was not sure which one was the bad stick, if either of them. Yes one stick fell out during delivery, but It could be that both sticks are fine and the connector is bad, or something else.

But i will pick up a beeper today and try that out

Cables and peripherals were all checked and I tried clearing CMOS prior to this post. No dice.

Try just 1 stick of RAM at a time. Clear CMOS each time.

Tell us if the mobo POST with just 1 stick.

Just got done trying that with each stick, clearing CMOS each time. Still no luck. I'm connecting the speaker now and I'll see if I get any beep codes

I believe your CPU has also a built-in GPU inside.

Did you try to hook the monitor directly to the mobo? Say, remove the nvidia, leave just any stick of RAM (clear CMOS again, very important) and see if you get something on the monitor.

At this point it may be wise to tear the whole build apart as nd re-assemble it again, outside the case.
