Hi
now that we've thrown the eart beyond the obstacle, can we (or is it safe to try to) downgrade between the new bioses 3.43, 3.40, 3.20, 3.10? |

I think you'd be OK if you use AMI tools launched from EFI shell.
There are nice threads describing the whole procedure. |

Hey Jz, i've tried the Bios downgrade a couple of times using the Windows 2.0 and all seems ok, but when i reboot, still on 3.43.
I get the impression some of the posters on your forum had the same issue. Definitely lost some performance going to 3.43, have only done cinebench r20 tests, but have gone from 4240 multi 451 single to 4118 , 444 . Have tried PBO scaler, the relax setting etc. Pbo scalar only seems to drop the score the higher i go ! Previously i ran an offset off -1, now it wont boot with display unless i power off. Seem to get it to boot at -.8750 but other issues with memory. Have 16gb Samsung Bdie CL16 and could run CL14 before with 1.4 voltage, but now getting full hard resets doing the cinebench r20 single core test, no blue screen etc. Something not well in the world ! I realise your not a Asrock support person, but any ideas ? x470 taichi, 16gig teamgroup dark cl16 3200 ram ( bdie ) 2700x under EKWB phoenix kit. |

I have just (~5-6hrs ago) reversed my X470 Taichi bios from 3.46 beta to 3.43 succesfully using instructions from this page:
https://www.overclock.net/forum/11-amd-motherboards/1640394-ryzen-bios-mods-how-update-bios-correctly.html Scroll to the "How to flash a official bios + mod bios" part, just stop at row number 7. After that just hit CTRL+ALT+DEL (if everything on screen says OK/Done). All you need is the bios file, as it is. No file type extension (.cap .rom etc) needs to be added, the "X470TC_3.43" name format works. Takes about 5 minutes once you figure it out. |

Was having some strange windows install corrupting and other stupid things the board was doing on 3.46. I had no issues with my memory kits on 3.40 & 3.43 so decided to go back. |
