I have 2 new 950 pros in a Z170 OC Formula.
I have the raid created in the bios and it shows the raid IS bootable. However, when I go to load windows 10 64bit (Yes, I have loaded the Intel 64 bit driver loaded) it recognizes the entire 1tb (almost) drive, but will not install to it because it says your computer's hardware does not support booting from this disk... I have tried MANY options and they all do the same thing. Seems there needs to be another BIOS update... Please do so soon to support this, unless someone out there has figured it out... Thanks! |

Just a heads up- I may have found the answer to the issue.
I am loading windows 10 from an actual Microsoft USB install drive. There are two kinds of boot capabilities: UEFI and Non-UEFI Here's this from Intel: "It is important that the operating system installer be booted in UEFI mode to properly configure the O/S to boot in UEFI mode. I'm at work at the moment, but when I get home the first thing I will do is boot the install USB drive in UEFI mode then try installing windows 10 onto the RAID 0 Partition... Here is the pdf from Intel for booting from an NVMe PCIe drive: http://download.intel.com/support/ssdc/hpssd/sb/nvme_boot_guide_332098001us.pdf
