Hello all,
Are the NVMe M2's compatible with my Z77 board and also would I need any adapters (or anything else) to connect it? My PC Specs: AsRock Z77 Overclock Formula I7 3770k @ 4.5GHz 16GB RAM G.Skill Ripjaws X Win 10 Pro x 64 Seeing how cheap SSD's are, I was looking to get this EVO: https://www.newegg.com/samsung-970-evo-500gb/p/N82E16820147690?reviews=all&Item=N82E16820147690&Tpk=N82E16820147690 |

This is not possible, because Z77 OC Formula has no M.2 socket onboard. You need adapter from PCIe to M.2, something like this:
- ASRock Ultra Quad M.2 Card - Smartbuy DT-120 But remember to look on version of PCIe bus of adapter, this should be at least PCIe 3.0 x4 or greater. |
