Hey Guys,

I have an X370 Fatality Gaming X.

BIOS does not (and never has) included a LLC function for tighter enforcement of voltage for the CPU.

Was just wondering if that is a feature available to users of the X370 Taichhi boards?

Cheers

LLC is available for X370 Taichi/Fatal1ty_X370_PG
at least for bios versions up to AMD AGESA PinnaclePI-AM4_1.0.0.6 (Ryzen Gen1 and Gen2)

For the current Gen3 beta bios versions maybe it is disabled.

Hmmm okay.

I was on PinnaclePI-AM4_1.0.0.1b I think (4.70)

You know, I don't remember ever seeing it and I had a real good look through the advanced menus way back at the time (can't look now as upgraded to 3rd gen). I just remember feeling dissapointed with the limitations of the BIOS for tweaking the CPU.

I thought because I'd bought the cheapest ATX X370 ASRock offered, this is how they segregated their X370 offerings between price points.

BTW: I think it is not visible until you select:
OC Tweaker\Voltage Configuration\Voltage Mode\OC Mode

And here is a LCC thread: Some boards/versions have it and some not:

Thanks Ray62

By the way, correction my BIOS would have been PinnaclePI-AM4_1.0.0.2

Thanks for sharing the thread. Good read. Great to see those days this forum had active moderators. Now... not so much

Found an interesting quote:

"Wardog just informed me that Asrock got back to him and said that " it is not an error but rather a change in the components used on the newer revision boards. These new components are higher quality/higher cost, same specs, yet less prone to voltage droop and as such do not support LLC settings."

ASRock explanation only makes sense if it was removed on X370 Taichi boards also (being most expensive, should have highest quality parts).
