Currently I have 4.70 version on my AB350 Pro4. I am currently using Ryzen 7 1700. If I update my motherboard BIOS to 5.80, will it have any benefits in memory and processor performance?

Also, If I use 5.80 BIOS along with my 1st gen Ryzen 1700. will it have negative repercussions?

Version 3.20 with AGESA 1.0.0.6b was the last update for Gen1 CPUs.

Version 5.40 with AGESA PinnaclePI-AM4_1.0.0.6 was the last update for Gen2 CPUs (without GPU built in).

Version 5.80 with AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.1 is the current Beta for using with Gen3 CPUs. Completely nonsens for Gen1 CPUs. Look into the user problem threads here in the forum and in the net..
Keep in mind: User will not be able to flash previous BIOS once upgrading to this BIOS version.

The max. Version i would use is 5.40

But anyway, what is missing for you with 4.70?
If everything is correct, don't update!
