Hi,
so I just build my new PC with Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac with AMD Ryzen 5 3400G and Plextor M9PeGN 256GB NVMe drive... have BIOS 5.70 on board.

When I test disk speed with CrystalDiskMark I get 822/822 MB/s not 3000/1000 MB/s as my M.2 drive can. In bios in Advanced -> AMD PBS -> PCIe x16 Switch I see only Auto, Gen1, Gen2 but no Gen3

Any ideas how to have PCIE3X4 on M.2 and not PCIE2X2 and have full M.2 speed?

@tomasryzen, I think we need a lot more info in order to reply/say something.

Your suffering is alarming and I'm sure many people would like to help.

Without knowing much I'm just simply guessing and asking
1) M9PeGN comes with heatsink or not? if not did you add one? may be heat throttle down?
2) your itx case? small and tiny not good air flow cause nvme throttle down ???
3) M.2 ultra socket on the back, no space, you were forced to remove heatsink???
4) uefi settings?

Hi, CPU is in first post.

@cx5
1. M9PeGN is without heatsink, did check temperature and is 46 celcius
2. no case (didn't have tim to put pc in case) air flow is amazing :) he is in open space and distance from desk is 5 cm
3. Again to heatsink, yes it's on back but it have airflow and tem is 46
4. in uefi drive is set to M.2 NVMe and M.2 is set to Gen3

From my point of view it's not clear in which PCIe mode the SSD is running.
Did you check with a tool how the PCIE_M slot is used?
HWInfo -> Motherboard->Systemslots shows the Slot data bus width.

Is it Gen3 x2 mode, it behaves like with an old A-Series APU (Bristol Ridge).
With a Ryzen 5 3400G APU it should be Gen3 x4.
However, i think, this is a bios issue (if the drive is connected correctly).

I would contact Asrock support.
