Have you tried giving the dram a little more voltage? like 1.36v

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, I was currently running my ram at 3333Mhz on the 1600x with no issues. The 3800x for some odd reason is unable to do the same. I lowered the ram speed to 3200Mhz and now the latency is gone and no more audio crackling. Very strange that my 3600Mhz ram can't continue to run at 3333Mhz with a new Ryzen CPU.

This is likely due to the increased voltages needed for the 3800x or could be the cpu itself..
A couple years back I built a i5-8600k machine and it had similar audio issue when I overclocked over 4.8ghz and increased the voltage for the overclock.. I switched to an 8700k and the audio crackling issue went away completely.. |

I just upgraded my CPU from a 1600x to a 3800x on a ab350m Pro4 board. I am using the latest Bios 5.90. The 1600x ran fine running Windows 10 on the 5.90. I upgrade to the 3800x and now I get crackling sound. I run DPC Latency Mon and it tells me my system has a hard time handling real time audio and is showing me huge spikes. It tells me to update my Bios to fix this issue. I cannot update it seeing as I am on the latest version. I can't downgrade it seeing as the Asrock website tells me it can't be done. What am I to do?
