I built new system with a 3700x on a X570 Taichi.
RGB components are: Gskill Trident RGB (on QVL) Coolermaster H500M with 2 ARGB 200mm fans from coolermaster Asus strix 2070 Super Corsair strafe mk2 RGB For a couple of days the RBG of the Fans, the motherboard and the memory synced. The GPU was set up to change colour when it warmed up. The keyboard was set up independently - No issues. As of today the RGB strip on the edge of the motherboard looks like it strobes. the colours are still correct its just flickering all the time. When I Turn all the RGB lighting off and then only turn on the RGB of the RAM sticks, the edge of the motherboard starts strobing. When I then turn off the RGB on the Gskill Trident the RGB on the RAM comes on and the RGB on the edge of the motherboard turns off. I'd like to flash the RGB chip to see if this fixes the problem but when I try to do it, nothing happens. I killed all the other RGB software too but it still won't flash. Does anyone have any ideas ? I'm using the application in the bin folder to try and flash it. |

Fixed it. Had to run the flash utility from dos as an admin.
Part A - Press the windows key and R (opens up a command box) - type "CMD" - confirm by pressing "control shift and enter" at the same time (this will let you run cmd as an admin) -enter "cd .." till you are in in the C: root directory, if you want to verify this just enter "Dir" Part B Now you need to go to the directory where you installed your asrock RGB software. You can do this in one command line but lets go step by step to avoid confusion CD program files (X86) CD Asrock Utility CD ASRRGBLED CD bin Now you are in the directory where the flash aplication is. The file you will need to flash is in this same folder and the filename starts with "nu" I do suggest you back this file up in windows before you flash it. Final step enter "wiCPFLASHADSBV2 /file=Filename (swap out filename with the version number of your "nu" file in my case it was nu51_3.04) The RGB should get flashed then and your RGB should be fixed. Hope this was helpfull, now I'm off to search the bios for where to turn off the RGB when the system is powered down ! |
