    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 at 5:10am
Hello everyone, I have a quick BIOS question today. I have a X470 Taichi mobo running BIOS v 2.00 with an AMD 7 2700x and G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) F4-3200C14D-16GFX RAM kit. In my BIOS if I set the DRAM Voltage to 1.4V the value turns red and I am unsure to what this warning means. Other mobo bios will turn values yellow and then red, or not change the colour at all so I am unsure what to make of this. As far as I have been able to research, DDR4 Samsung B-Die can run comfortably at 1.45V so I can't see this being a warning for the RAM itself so does this mean that 1.4V is too much for the mobo itself? Or is this just a warning that I'm beginning to approach the maximum? passed the maximum or what?

If anyone can provided some clarification as to whether this is a cautionary warning or an absolute you've passed the line warning it would be greatly beneficial.

Thank you

Just my interpretation: Yes it is a warning, because the voltage is out of spec, what else.
But better ask G.SKILL

Thank you so much for your replies guys. I just wanted to make sure the warning wasn't for the DIMM Slots, that it was too much voltage for them. Yeah the the G. SKill is B-die so I'm not worried about 1.4V for it, like you say John291, it should be fine
