Few days ago I updated the BIOS on my Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
board from 1.30 to 2.30 BIOS. Processor is i5 2500k with 4x 4GB ram (2 mixed pairs of Corsair Vengeance) Now I notice that when the computer goes to sleep and then wakes, the following error is present in Event Viewer: Event 137: Kernel-Power The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S4). This can result in reduced resume performance. Could this error be due to the new BIOS - I didn't notice this error with 1.30 BIOS, and if yes, can this be somehow repaired? I searched through the internet, however, did not find any solution that would work (beside disabling sleep). |
