MB: b450m steel legend
CPU r5 2600x

Initially I was using bios 2.10 and everything was just fine.
Then I tryied to update bios version to the latest for pinnacle ridge (2.50) and Ive got a bug when I cant change 3pin fan speed at all - it was always on 100% (dc mode, silent/any mode, curve with 0% always and etc), same in the windows with A-tuning and speedfan.

Because it is extremelly critical for me (I am using 5 powerfull fans and all of them at 100% are generating a lot of noise) so I decided to downgrade it back to 2.10

I just flashed 2.10 with instant flash - and fans now woking as it was before.

BUT a new issue came up, now I cant change dram frequency and timing at all - it is just not setting.
This is the steps that I follow:
1. resetting bios & reboot
2. setting the dram freq to 2133/2666/4000/anything except default 2400
3. F10 => reboot
4. now in bios it says dram freq still 2400 but the selection is saved, it is 2133/2866/4000 that I set before.

The same thing with timings.

Then I tryied to change dram freq from amd ryzen master and it works - I can set 2866 (that I had before the bios update and downgrade stuff) but if I try to change it from bios and for example to set it to 4000 - just the same thing above happend - after F10 it says I have selected 4000 but 2866 is actual.

I dont want to try to set freq to any higher because if system will fail I will not be able to change it from bios because windows will not load.

What DRAM are you using?
And what irrational frequencies /2866/4000???
A typo and you mean 2666/3000?

And take care! When using Ryzen master for changing settings some bios settings (possible including not accessible ones from the bios ui) will also be changed.
You now should use Ryzen master to set the defaults for CPU and RAM again before you change settings in the bios.
In other words: Do not mix bios settings with Ryzen Master settings.

Kingston KHX3000C15D4/8GX
Yep, a typo, and also do not stick to the freq itself, I tryied everything in list except default 2400 - no changes.

I am not mixing it, I installed ryzen master as a last experiment because I wanted to know if it is still posible to change freq from windows.

I tryied to reset to factory/remove battery for a 2mins but none of it is working, the freq is still 2400 no matter what I am using (please note that the bios is saving, all other options work, dram freq selector is also saved but actual freq after F10 is not)

Bios versions > 2.13A are not intended to be used with a gen2 ryzen.
And i wonder that you could downgrade from 2.50 to 2.10
** User will not able to flash previous BIOS once upgrading to this BIOS version.
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M%20Steel%20Legend/index.asp#BIOS

But anyway, it seems that the downgrade was not really successfull, meaning that the bios cannot initialize some data areas correctly because of the downgrade.
I would contact Asrock support for help!

*** And now without warranty: ***
One strategy could be the upgrade to 2.10 from an older(!) version.

Load bios defaults, save and restart to bios and flash 2.00.

Again restart to bios, load defaults, restart to bios and than Flash 2.10 again.

Did you do the 2.10 -> 2.00 -> 2.10 flashing steps?
