Hello everyone,

I'm having a lot of issues trying to set my new build:

Thermaltake Core V1 Mini ITX Desktop Case
Silverstone 300 W 80+ Bronze Certified SFX Power Supply
ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor
G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

These are the things I've tried:

1) I have followed the manual and this forum post (http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=6694&PN=2&title=power-button-cable-location-on-motherboard) to make sure my PWR/RESET/LED panel was working correctly.

2) tried with different a different ram stick (Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (1 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory) on both slots.

3) tried no SSD / HHD attacked.

3) tried changing the HDMI cables of my monitor.

4) Double checked with this video (https://youtu.be/N9s03mVW76s?t=22) just to make sure I installed the CPU correctly (Golden tip is towards the mother boards I/O panel same as the video @ 0:22)

I don't know what else I can do. Any advice?

Should I try resetting the CMOS? Unplugging the batter + shorting the pins?

I don't see a video card mentioned - with this CPU you will need an external graphics card. The onboard video ports will not work with your CPU as it does not have an APU built in.

FACEPALM! You are 1000000000000000% correct. Oh jeez! Thanks for the feedback :)

Yes, you do. The on board video ports can only be used with an APU, not a CPU.

rana_kirti, I couldn't see anything.

It was my mistake I didn't notice the item on amazon was a CPU not an APU (CPU with GPU capabilities). So I need to wait until tomorrow, buy a GPU and then test it.

UPDATE: SYSTEM BOOTS! No issues at all with the hardware. I made a silly mistake when buying from Amazon. I didn't notice the pcpartpicker link had sent me to an amazon page with a CPU not an APU. Fixed it quickly buying a new video card.

Thread closed. No issues with MOBO.
