Hey,
i've got a new system but i'm not happy with the performance so far.
The Ryzen 3600 is barley boosting single core obove 4ghz and does not reach the 4,2 in any means. All core boost is some thing like 3750mhz.

Any tips what to do?:

- Ryzen 3600 (ryzen wraith spire)
- Asrock b450 fatality itx (Bios 3.5 with 1.0.0.3 ABB)
- 16GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 DIMM CL16
- BeQuiet 600W
- Geforce 1060
- win 10 pro newest update
- AMD Chipset Driver amd_software_1.09.27.1033
- AMD Ryzen High Power energy setting (tried every setting)

I've tried diffrent bios settings but nothing works

Maybe the CPU gets too hot.
Let HWINFO sensor status run in the background for a longer session.
Post screens of it when running CPU-Z benchmark or cinebench with single and multi thread tests.

For nice all-core boost, the cooling capacity of the stock cooler is not enough, but my main concern is, that the single core boost does not even touch 4,1 ghz.

Right now i'm at the newest beta bios.

One test:
Load bios defaults or do a CMOS Clear after the bios update to 1.0.0.4 beta and start to the bios for checking, if PBO is activated and set it on if not.

That should be all to activate performance boost with standard behaviour.
If that is not the case,
- Maybe the power settings for PBO must be adjusted
(PPT, TDC, EDC limit) as available in the bios (PBO Advanced).
- Maybe PBO scalar control has to be adjusted
- Maybe the CPU voltage is a bit too high

Manipulating these can result in a change of up to +/- 200mhz or so for PBO boost frequencies.

even in single core boost it still needs a good cooler and of course load on 1-2 cores only

No recommendations from my side.
This Zen2 platform is also new for me, i got my CPU last month.
And regarding PBO or OC for Ryzen, there are too much dependencies (CPU, cooling, mainboard and VRMs, power supply, bios, RAM, etc).
And a lot of SW changes since i own this CPU (driver, bios, windows).
Just play with the tools like Ryzen Master, HWInfo, benchmark and find out.

Power plan for Ryzen, worth reading and to test:
