Hey all,
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I bought the X570 taichi based on information that it contained 3 x PCIe 4.0 16x slots on it. But closer inspection of the slots show that pins reduce in number for each slot you move down, suggesting that it goes for 16x to 8x to 4x looking from top to bottom? Am I missing something? |

thats physsical 16x so you could fit a gpu on them futher read what speed they run on the specs page

There are lots of people suggesting you move the GPU down to the second slot though... wouldn?™t that mean it runs at 8x because of the number of pins making contact with the card? |

- 3 x PCI Express 4.0 x16 Slots (PCIE1/PCIE3/PCIE5:
single at x16 (PCIE1); dual at x8 (PCIE1) / x8 (PCIE3); triple at x8 (PCIE1) / x8 (PCIE3) / x4 (PCIE5))* yes it will only run at 8X but dont worry you'll barely use the bandwidth |
