Hi all,
I have just build my new rig and something strange is happening: Just after I start the PC, it often stays on a few seconds (the screens remain black so I suppose the Bios is not started) and it then restarts itself automatically, at that point, everything works as expected and the PC is stable. The strange thing is that it happens only when the motherboard is in standby mode (power supply is on and PC off). If I switch off the power supply, then switch it on and start the PC, everything is always booting normally. It looks like that, for some reason, when the motherboard is in standby then started, sometimes (I'd say 3 times out of 4) not enough current is delivered to the components and the PC doesn't manage to power completely thus the automatic reboot. Obviously, this is just a theory and that's why I ask for your help, do you have any idea what could cause this? Configuration: -ASRock Z390 Extreme 4 -Intel Core i7 9700K -Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200 32gb -Corsair H115i PRO RGB water cooling -Corsair HX850i Power Supply -EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 FTW3 Ultra -2 x Hard Drive, 2 x Samsung SSD, 1 DVDRom |

Dear Daze507,
Thank you for posting your query to ASRock forum. Regarding your question, kindly try the suggestions below to see if it will work: 1. Please remove the graphics card and plug the screen output cable to onboard to see if it will work. 2. Follow by #1, please install ING/ME/VGA drivers from the link below: https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z390%20Extreme4/index.asp#Download If it still will not work, please try" 3. Please clear CMOS. 4. Please install only one RAM to B2 slot with BIOS default settings. 5. Please use different RAM on B2 slot and try. If #3/#4/#5 will not work, please try: 6. Remove all of the extra devices from your system and install only the SSD with the operating system. With thanks, ASRock TSD |
