Hello Guys,
I got an interesting issue that I have never come across before. The hardware in question is an Asrock IMB-186 Mobo paired with a 4th Gen i5 4300U. The issue I am having is utilizing both onboard Display connections to achieve extended dual displays. According to the motherboard manual, this motherboard should be able to handle three displays. From what I can tell, the i5 4300U integrated graphics should be able to handle multiple displays as well. Link to Mobo Specs : https://www.asrockind.com/overview.asp?Model=IMB-186 ![]() I have used the combo for quite a while and just recently decided to add a second monitor. The Mobo has onboard outputs for HDMI and DisplayPort. Upon plugging the second display, The display immediately mirrored. Upon checking the display settings in Windows, only one monitor is detected. ![]() I went back into BIOS and was amazed to see that even the BIOS screen was mirrored. ![]() I have upgraded the BIOS to the latest version available. I have set the Boot Displays BIOS options for every possible combo. Adding an external GPU really isn't an option given the form factor of the board and its case. By chance am I just overlooking something simple that would be causing this issue? Thank you all in advance for your help! Cheers, Blake Edited by ASRock_TSD - 18 Dec 2019 at 9:57am |

Bump
Sorry for the Bump but I am kinda in a pickle and need to try to fix this or at least find out if this is expected behavior? Any advice, recommendations, or contacts to reach out to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated! Cheers |
