asrock x470 taichi ultimate bios not showing

   I just got my new cpu Ryzen 7 3800x today, and i was going to update the bios before installing it. I have a Ryzen 7 2700x right now, but when i restart my pc, im just getting a black screen, until i hit the login screen. If i try to open the bios, i just get a permanent black screen, until i restart the pc. anyone know why it does that?

	I somehow fixed it, by booting my pc on the integrated gpu, and then booting it back up on my gpu. not sure how it worked. but i got the bios to show up on my screen that way
