I recently upgraded my X370 Taichi to BIOS 5.60, running a R7 1700X CPU. As soon as I upgraded, I started to get memory issues (Dr. Debug code 55), monitor display showing Out Of Range upon boot, wouldn't keep XMP profile settings. To add, I had Corsair DDR4-3000 memory running at BIOS 4.70 for the past two years without issue, and it was on the approved memory list from Asrock. While on 5.60 I upgraded to 3200 G.Skill memory (also on the approved list) and got the same issues as above. I reached out to Asrock support and they said 5.60 was for next-gen processors (not explicitly stated on the website) and they wanted me to RMA it. Instead I was able to find a guide to help me rollback to 5.10 and that works without issue. So, RMA avoided, thankfully. Also had a R9 390 GPU.

But now I upgraded to a Asrock 5700 Challenger D GPU and saw someone post on the AMD support pages they were running an X370 Taichi with BIOS 5.60 with a 5700 and a R5 1600 without issue.

Anyone else have experience with running BIOS 5.60 on a X370 Taichi with a Summit Ridge CPU successfully? If so, how'd you get it to work?

@SpotAnime I'm also 1700x and used bios 5.6, 5.67, 5.8 all good.

Special note my corsair ram is not in qualified compatible list, so it can't even boot when use XMP and to solve it must manually key in all timing. Use guidance from Dram calculator by 1usmus. Don't follow 100% and assume OK, must trial and error change/fine tune the results from Dram calculator.
