MB: X470 Gaming ITX/ac
BIOS: 3.60 I have updated my motherboard BIOS many times in past without issue. With the new BIOS file, I cannot get the UEFI InstantFlash to recognize a suitable BIOS file. I can only format USB drive as exFAT, not FAT32. I don't remember if this was possible previously. |

It should be possible. What is the capacity of the USB flash drive?

Unfortunately I cannot format it as FAT32, even using PowerShell or Command Prompt. It is 64 GB. I used same drive previously, too, but now I can't even get the motherboard to recognize the old BIOS files. |

Did you try Powershell or Command Prompt run as Administrator?

My mistake, sorry. Windows will not format a drive (or partition) larger than 32GB as FAT32. Do you have a smaller USB flash drive?

Congratulations, your system board and BIOS will read NTFS. This is not guaranteed, hence the recommendation to use FAT32. So you got your BIOS updated?

Yes, it flashed BIOS without issue. So we have to keep tiny USB drives on hand now to update ASRock BIOS?

Smaller than 32GB, or get a third party formatting utility.
