Im sure this question has been asked several times, but cant locate for my particular board. I updated the ram in an Ibuypower pc with an i5 and gtx1660. I updated the ram to 2x 8g corsair vengeance 3000mhz This motherboard only has the option to set the frequency speed to 2666. however, I can set the target memory speed to 3000mhz and there is an option the set xmp timing. but when I do that, the frequency option is left clear, and my target speed drops back down to 2666. I opened a ticket with ibuypower direct, first they say that motherboard is not compatible to run 3000 mhz, then he said to load the xmp profiles immediately after. My bios doesnt have that setting to directly load xmp, only to go into dram tweaker and manually set timings. Im confused hopefully someone can help.
