Hi

Wondering if someone could help.

I just got the x570 Taichi motherboard and with the default antenna the signal is very very weak, I am not sure if this is normal or something wrong with it.
I have updated to the latest intel Wifi 6 driver from intel website and latest x570 Taichi bios just last night.

When I don't use any antenna on my MB, I get no reception, but when I put on the originally supplied antenna with both wifi connectors connected I only get 2 bars from my home router which is only maybe 10M between 1 wall

but with my Mac book, laptop and mobile phone at the same place, I get full bars.

What's funnier is I did a test by using my cheap $15 old USB wifi antenna. https://www.tp-link.com/au/home-networking/adapter/tl-wn722n/ and just connected it to only one of the wifi antenna sockets, I still get 4 bars.......

The conclusion looks like the Wifi antenna is working because it gives me 2 bar vs no bars with no antenna on.....

so few questions

1. Anyone have the same issue or know how to fix this?

2. Does this sound like a faulty antenna?

3. The place I bought it from Mwave Sydney said I need to take the whole MB in for them to return or warranty ..... I don't want to pull everything apart and rebuild ...... anyone knows where I can get a replacement antenna? or why I can't just take the antenna in for them to replace or swarp for new one?

4. I prefer signal antennas and just get 2 like this https://www.mwave.com.au/product/silverstone-wad17-dualband-high-gain-wifi-antenna-ac21795 Would this work? do I must get an antenna that 2 connector and becomes 1 single one?

5. I have no idea about wifi antennas, what do I need to look for? what specs?

Thank you

Looks like this will work well https://www.mwave.com.au/product/draytek-ant1207-highgain-omnidirectional-indoor-antenna-black-ac04622

Will I need to buy 2 to connect both wifi sockets or can I just use one?

Thanks

Hi, I am having the same issue, and the antenna appears the same (I have X570 ITX). Did a new antenna resolve this for you? Placing the antenna next to my iPhone the connection speed is 10Mbps vs 250+.
