Hello,
I'm building looking to max out possible gen4 M.2 NVME drives on the Taichi X570 with Ryzen 3900X. The Taichi has 3 Hyper M.2 slots, which will be utilized (and yes third pciex16 slot is turned off with third M.2 slot in use). Graphics card will be in use in first pciex16 slot. I'm wondering about using the second pciex16 slot to add one or two more gen4 M.2 NVME drives. PCIe lanes listed on AMD's X570 graphic show 8xPCIE lanes going to the mobo (in addition to the lanes for two nvme, and noting one nvme goes straight to cpu), so I'm wondering if these lanes can be used for adding additional drives. Can this be done? greenspace |
