SPECS:
motherboard: Asrock B450M/AC Processor: Ryzen 5 2600 3.6ghz 1.075v locked(ryzen Master) Graphics Card: RX 580 8gb PowerColor Red Devil Golden Sample Gpu 1280Mhz 1050mV, Vram 1900Mhz 890mV(Radeon Software) Ram: XPG Z1 DDR4 3000MHz 16GB (2x8GB) Red XMP(any manual tweaking and system boot loops for 6 minutes) SSD: WD BLUE 3D 500GB HDD: Toshiba X300 4TB HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 4TB Problem: any over/underclocking and over/undervolting. any and all tweaking seams to be broken my Asrock b450m/ac. The moment i manually change any value in the slightest way(other than boot drive, time and XMP)when i restart it boot loops for 6 minutes straight and reverts back to default..... actually yesterday it boot looped for 12 hours straight...... tried cutting the power, clearing the cmos, even tried praying... it finally just booted back up on its own. |

a very detailed system list
but you missed out the vital part what version bios are you on ? to me it does sound like a dodgy bios release (shock horror asrock released a buggy bios .......) your board was launched with a ryzen 3000 ready bios so the warning from asrock about not using the version 1.7 with 1000/2000 series cpus seems a bit silly ........ esp. when on the cpu support page asrock TELLS YOU TO USE 1.70 with a ryzen 1600af my own personal advice would be to try another bios version if your already having issues with this one my wifes system using the b450m pro4 is running quite nicely on the latest ryzen 3000 bios v3.9 (which is the one it shipped with so i had no choice ) |

Unfortunately this board gets very little attention from Asrock. It came preinstalled with p1.5, that was 3 months back, the website had p1.0, p1.2, and p1.7 that was a beta. p1.7 is still the newest bios, and the only update choice. And i updated it yesterday, after my Motherboard boot looped for 12 hours straight.... i had enough
My motherboard bios page B450M/AC https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450Mac/#BIOS 10 months after p1.0 = p1.7 A very similar motherboard B450M Pro4 https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/#BIOS 10 months after p1.0 = p3.3 As i said Very little attention. |
