I am not spamming, I am offering these links to help others that wish to learn. and really unlock or tweak their systems to their liking. lots of useful info on all these sites. I am providing these cause this is how I learned, And the more people that learn. The more we can create new mods and guides to help even more learn. Here are some examples of mods I have done for the ASRock Z97X Fata1ity Killer motherboard. First successful flash attempt, just a quick image edit and modification. First version, Done with Bios release P2.40  Then my final version, I'm just using the image I used to insert into the bios not an actual screen shot as my phone was dead atm.  this tool will allow you to update the bios-side drivers. I have updated my board to release version P2.40 from the ASRock website. Then used UBU Tool to Update the the internal bios drivers as follows. Intel RST(e) OROM and EFI SataDriver -OROM IRST RAID for SATA - 14.8.0.2377 - *Updated* -EFI IRST RAID for SATA - 14.7.0.2341 - *Updated* Intel OROM VBIOS and EFI GOP Driver -OROM VBIOS Haswell - 1039 - *Updated* -EFI GOP Driver Broadwell - 5.5.1033 - *Updated* LAN OROM PXE and EFI UNDI - Intel, Realtek, BCM, QCA -OROM Intel Boot Agent CL - 0.1.06 - *Updated* -OROM QCM-Atheros PXE - 2.1.1.5 - *Updated* Intel CPU MicroCode Haswell/Broadwell -CPU Microcode 0306C3 HSW - 1E - *Updated* Here are some other useful links for those interested.  I've used UBU in the past, but do not keep up with it. I get lazy, when standard UEFI/BIOS updates are constantly released (six for my ASRock Z170 board) and we must then mod that file with our own updates, I don't feel like it.  Plus some of the standard updates contain things I don't want to over-write, like the same board's new RAID ROM, which is one thing I would normally change. I want (need!) to warn people that UEFI/BIOS modding with this tool is relatively simple, but any time we modify a UEFI file we MUST be very, very careful!! I only suggest this for users that have dual UEFI/BIOS chip boards. That allows you to recover from a mod gone bad, and I'm not talking about a Mod like me...  Of course it is a GIVEN that UEFI/BIOS modding is done at your own risk!!!  |

Parsec makes a very valid point. Modding your BIOS is never to be taken lightly and it goes without saying that it is not sanctioned or supported by any manufacturer.
Thanks for the info none the less, it may not be for everyone but there is an ever growing number of builders/modders out there that will appreciate it.

I use it for some time. It's a good tool.
But why can't we have a dedicated ASRock tool for that? That would be so great and easy. But ASRock just don't want to expand the community of MOD-ers and developers. Sight... |

Not even DFI in their heyday when Oskar Wu rolled some outrageous BIOSes for them did DFI sanction BIOS modding, let alone produce and distribute any tools to do so. ASRock Expert, I don't know about you but I do know I wouldn't want to be on the other end of a Support call and hear "I used UBU for the first time as an inexperienced user and I believe I must have dome something wrong. Help me please." That's where I'd cue the laugh track for 5secs, then hang up. < id="kpm_plugin" ="application/x-KPMPlugin">

Well, Gigabyte had a tool called "FaceWizard" back in 1999. on socket A (462).
My GA-7VA could be modified with that, just to change the boot-logo, but it's a simple tool that works even today with most Gigabyte boards. Why don't ASRock start with that? ASRock AppShop/AXTU/F-Stream is good for almost nothing... |

And they, Gigabyte, yet offers Face Wizard http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/utility.aspx Though the OS's it supports shows it does not include Windows 10. I remember it well. < id="kpm_plugin" ="application/x-KPMPlugin">

OS: Windows 7 32bit, Windows 7 64bit, Windows 8 32bit, Windows 8 64bit So it should work on 8.1/10, it's the same kernel as W8. |

Agreed. They most likely haven't updated the listing description.
