Hi,

I recently bought this Mini PC Beebox 3150/B/BB/US and tried to install Windows 7 Pro via External USB DVD drive.

Problem: I get past the window logo, but the screen hangs at Install window, Mouse/Keyboard doesn't function.

Screenshot: Hangs on Install Windows

BIOS: Setting

Is there something I need to change in the BIOS?

Specs:
CPU: N3150 (2.08GHz)
GPU: Intel HD Gen8

What I have:
1. Beebox 3150/B/BB/US
2. Portable DVD Writer Model SE-208
3. Windows 7 Professional DVD

I would appreciate the help.
Thanks.

I solved the problem by Installing Windows 7 Pro on a Bootable USB Drive.

Here's the program that I used; Asrock Win 7 USB Patcher

Phew!!!

Yep. That's a req on some newer chipsets until new pressings of OS's come out.

The USB Patcher is also listed/available on the BeeBox download pages too.

I'm still having usb problems in windows 7.

I used the usb Patcher, and it worked fine for the first part of the installation.

But, as soon as windows re-booted, and went into the stage where it "finalizes" its installation, the mouse and keyboard stopped functioning again.

Any suggestions? I'm stuck.
