Hello,
I currently have 2 q1900m systems. One running pfsense the other is a simple desktop setup. One of the operating systems I planned on running doesn't yet support the intel gen7 graphics so I figured I would pick up a cheap nvidia card. However after installing the Evga Nvidia 210 the entire system became extremely laggy. I don't just mean in the operating system. Even startup takes ages with this card installed in the Q1900M. When using any other card everything is fine. Tested cards in the Q1900M. GTX280, GTX480 and a GTX 770. - All function normally In both Q1900M's I own. Evga Nvidia 210 "tested in both Q1900M" = slow boot, horrid performance with everything. Simply trying to open a text file takes nearly a minute. - The issue seems subsystem. Operating systems tested. Windows 7, Debian jessie, debian wheezy, FreeBSD 10.1. All operating systems experience Extreme slow downs during boot. And windows or any desktop environment with Xorg is mostly unusable. Even typing in a login name pre xorg is laggy. I've tested the Nvidia 210 in 2 other motherboard and it functions normally. Any bios or settings tips would be appreciated but I'm guessing this might be a bios issue or a complete incompatibility. Thanks |
