Spent a few good hours trying to search the internet for any answers, I've seen some people that experienced the same problem, although on different motherboard models from ASRock. And the usual answers were to short/reset the CMOS and try again. That did not work in my case. So, I'm guessing it might really be designed that way.
For anyone coming across this thread and experiencing the same problem, they should try using a VGA or DVI monitor or use those ports if their has support for both, besides HDMI. I should also note that this if you want to access UEFI via onboard graphics (refer to the first post that I have an AMD Athlon 3000G). I doubt the same will happen for users that has a dedicated GPU on their builds. |

Hello,
I'm having a problem with a new PC build, my monitor says "no signal" (getting no video) using HDMI when powering it on. It doesn't display BIOS/UEFI/POST screen, but does have display when Windows gets loaded. Luckily, my monitor has VGA support and I had to order a VGA cable to set it up the first time, and had to keep it connected if I want to access the UEFI settings. Why does this happen? Why is it not able to display anything on POST/UEFI when using HDMI? Am I missing something? Is this supposed to happen? Here are my specs: AMD Athlon 3000G w/ Stock Cooler Kingston KVR RAM 2666Mhz 8GB Single Stick ASRock A320M-HDV R4.0 5.4RPM SATA HDD |
