My FX 8350 keeps going down to 1.4GHz.
The temps look fine so why can't I get it to stay at 4GHz? |

That could be the CPU power saving option being active when the CPU is under a low load condition.
Do you have "Cool and Quiet" and other CPU power saving options enabled (Auto may be enabled) in the UEFI/BIOS? If so, that could explain the change in CPU speed. Normal functioning of the CPU with the power saving options enabled. |
