Hi guys,

i need some help with my new taichi motherboard.

following hardware:

* ASRock X299 TAICHI CLX Intel X299 S.2066
** BIOS Version: 1.20 (label at Motherboard)
* Intel Core i9 9960X 16x 3.10GHz So.2066 WOF
* 16GB (2x 8192MB) Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16-18-18-36
* 500 Watt Seasonic Prime Fanless PX-500 Modular 80+ Platinum
* Nvidea GTX 1060

I switch on the power, and the motherboard start-up begins. It always stop at dr. debug code 0x36 (maybe 0x3b) sometimes at 0xd1.

fan are running but nothing else, also monitor keeps black with no video signal. for me it seems that there is a problem with the memory but I can't get any further. wrote a ticket to asrock, but still get no answer yet.

I tried different RAM-slots also use just one RAM-module. all with the same result. it stops always at the same debug-codes.

any ideas for me to fix it?

Fix it.

Bought a new RAM module. Just a cheep one.
Crucial 8gb, 2666 UDIMM.
just install that module to enter UEFI.
Update to BIOS 1.50. Install the original RAM modules and it worked.

Would be nice if ASROCK would sell Boards with the last UEFI update. ??

ASRock cannot control how long a retailer has had a product in stock. I have asked
ASRock about their policies when shipping boards out before and was informed that
all boards they ship are updated to the latest BIOS version before being shipped
to retail outlets.

Glad to see you got your system going, enjoy your new build
