Hello,
I have a new build which was fine the first 2 days. All my drivers are up to date since day one, so is Windows. Suddenly the startup went slow, The Asrock logo seemed to remain on screen longer, and the pc was stuck at the step with the white blinking underscore for nearly 30 seconds. Windows loads fine after that delay, just a few seconds. Then I noticed my BIOS is very slow as well, the mouse moves with much lag and there's a few seconds delay in response after an input. Somehow turning on quick start in the BIOS puts me back into the BIOS automatically when I save my changes and reboot. Apart from that I haven't noticed anything off. I tried restoring Windows but to no avail, re-flashed the BIOS as well. I have restored the settings to default, after which I have only turned on the RAM XMP 1.2 profile. Anyone has an idea of what I can do to fix this plz? Gr! |

Perhaps I should add my setup:
Ryzen 5 3600 Nvidia GTX 1650 Ghost OC DDR5 G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB WD Black SN750 NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB All components seem to be performing well. I've run multiple tools to check and they get good results in Userbenchmark (CPU and GPU way above expectation, RAM above expectation and SSD as expected) Booting without devices in my USB ports or with devices in different ports doesn't help. Clearing CMOS; Apart from the first boot being even more slow, came without result. |

Can you please specify what motherboard and bios version you're on?

I can't actually help beyond just googling.
Sadly there seem to be a lot of results with people experiencing similar problems with that motherboard. Many of them revolve around USBs or memory so try troubleshooting on those. See if maybe unplugging everything will speed up the boot. |

Indeed, I've noticed many people with similar issues
I've tried booting without USB devices and I have tried running Windows from another SSD. Both attempted solutions came without result. |

Tempratures in my case....
With me I wasn't really seeing temps too high but I waited a while with a house fan on it and doing stuff in bios flew again. I knew I wasn't crazy... I upped my fan count and got a lot tighter on the temp/fan rpm ratios 30deg-40% 50deg-100% on the chassis for the mobo temp. Now I'm getting high 50's when I render but it is cooling it back down. So yeah in my case the temperature was the culprit. PS... Yeah I use temp monitoring and an older version of HWMonitor. I tried a bunch of different ones but only the latest HWMonitor seemed to be correct. Trial and error will show absolute truth. |
