Ive just ordered a b550 pro4 and am wondering if there is any way to tell what bios it shipped with so i can tell if it will ryzen 5000 series ready or if ill need to update bios first. Thanks

There should be a sticker on the chipset with the bios version on it. https://www.asrock.com/support/index.us.asp?cat=FindBIOS
That MB needs bios V1.40 for ryzen 5000 CPU support. https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550%20Pro4/#CPU That bios was released on 10/27/2020. Depending on when your board was manufactured it may or may not have it. |
