   I am searching for clarity for what BIOS version to install with my PC. I have had continual issues over the last year. After finally installing UEFI and the right chipset as well as several other updates/upgrades, I find my memory only runs at 2133MHz. I don't know the slightest about overclocking, and may not need to (I am not gaming.)
I just want stability and responsiveness. Main use is for college at this point; eventually a recording studio build. Replaced the 2- 8GB OLy modules with Corsair modules from QVL list. My problems persisted so, I added 2 more.
Main issue is memory speed: how can this be adjusted? Do I need to update the BIOS past version 1.5? (I have seen in a variety of answers, but nothing definitive.

Current specs:
BIOS version: 1.50
ASRock B450M Pro4-F
AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 
4) 8-GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200MHz

I have recently tested the hardware components and performed a fresh clean install with all updates.(including the switch to UEFI from the old BIOS.) I have reset the OS 4 times in the last 10 months thinking it may be the issue. *SickOfIt* 

Never had to reach out before, so any assistance is appreciated!

	You are just running 1 8gb stick now? .. with 2 sticks they need to be in slots A2/B2 ..if just one stick then A2. I ran 4 8GB Oloy Warhawks paired with my wife's 3400g without issue .. on an ASUS B350 Prime though. @3200 XMP profile. If you are running the memory in the correct channels .. I'd recommend updating the BIOS for better memory compatibility .. disregard *ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if ..." That "warning" is just to dissuade individuals from needlessly updating their bios if everything is working fine because their is always a risk in updating your bios of bricking your setup. (Of which I've never personally experienced). Maybe update incrementally until you are able to run your memory at its XMP profile .. I say that because the last couple BIOS revisions for my x570 Steel Legend have been garbage

	No, I'm running 32GB-(4)matching 8GB Corsair V 3200 modules. I have seen "they do not recommend" updating the BIOS, but also have read on this forum *"you can disregard the ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if Pinnacle, Raven, Summit or Bristol Ridge CPU is being used on your system."** That is the dilemma. Regardless, if I am not overclocking, there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to adjust the BIOS settings to run at 2933. I cannot get it to come off of 2133. I don't know anything about overclocking so I want to avoid that if possible. I was hoping that switching to UEFI, reinstalling a fresh OS, with updated firmware, drivers, etc would correct my issues.

	The 3400G is a Zen+ CPU and running 4 sticks you can't expect much over 2666 MT/s. If you have a loser CPU you might not even get it that high. Try manually clocking to 2666 and downward in steps. I would expect that you can get at least 2400. You might need a bit more voltage on the memory, although I wouldn't take that too far.
