Hi. I've posted about this and I haven't found a solution yet.
My GPU is at PCIe x8, rather than PCIe x16 and I'm trying to fix it. I looked at the hardware, and it's definitely slotted into the x16 PCIe slot. Could it something else that's messing with this? Like a SATA device or something? I do plan on getting a new GPU very soon, but for now I wanna make sure that nothing on my motherboard is defective. I'm hoping it's something in my BIOS that could use tweaking or adjusting. I've re-seated the GPU, cleaned the contacts with isotropic alcohol, nothing. I'm afraid something may be defective, and I'm hoping it isn't the motherboard because I wanna upgrade my GPU soon. I wanna say there's a setting in the BIOS (which I updated today) but there isn't anything in there. Could it be my SATA setup?? Or perhaps that M.2 WD NAND SSD I have? I really need help here. My build: CPU Ryzen 7 3700X @ 3.6 Ghz RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 Gb @ 3200 Mhz (XMP enabled) Motherboard AsRock Taichi X570 GPU XFX Radeon R9 390X Storage 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZRZ-00HTKB0 (SATA) 465GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB (SATA (SSD) 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 (SATA) 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZRZ-00HTKB0 (SATA) 465GB Western Digital WDC WDS500G2B0B (SATA (SSD) |

Yeah I looked at this but I don't know what to configure/look at in my BIOS that would control those things.
I'm afraid that either my GPU or motherboard are defective. Please help me with this I'm so alone here. |

There's only 3 slots and there's not enough space in my case to insert the GPU. I don't think that's the issue, though since the x16 slot is always supposed to be the top one, or the one closest to the CPU, right?
I have a bunch of SATA devices and even an M.2 NAND drive in the M.2 slot above the GPU, but I don't think that's the issue. Could it be something else or would it be my graphics card? I don't know what I have that would be taking up that bunch bandwidth if not for my storage devices. Here's a Speccy |

I've done that already. I also re-seated my graphics card.
My GPU is old. Could there be something wrong with that component? |
