Hi,

I have this configuration:

- AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
- ASRock AB350 Pro4 (bios 5.80)
- Ripjaws V DDR4-3600MHz 16GB (2x8GB) (F4-3600C16D-16GVK)

These memory modules are listed in the QVL with 3466 Mhz supported speed.
https://asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350%20Pro4/index.us.asp#Memory

I tried this:

- default UEFI, set memory to 3000, 3200 or 3466
- Load XMP Settings (16-16-16-36 1.35V)

The computer reboots 3 times and goes back to 2133 Mhz.

Any idea ?

Thank you.

I'd say the problem is your CPU. I'm not an expert but I don't think it can handle that speed.

the pc is telling you it cant boot with the speed you set hence the boot tries then reset

now having owned a first gen ryzen since launch on a very high end board more able to run ram more stable
and being very active in the whole ryzen community

your chances of running 3466 on a first gen cpu are less than 1%
much less than 1%

trying to use an entry level first gen 350 board to run 3466 is very hard even with a later 3000 series cpu (although it should be possible with time and effort) depending on ram brand + actual chips used on the ram

you should be able to get 3200mhz stable with your 1800x cpu and 350 board
but dont waste your time thinking 3466 is possible (certainly not cold boot stable and stable in gaming)
the qvl states for both ravenridge and pinnicle ridge 3200 ,mhz max
i dont know how you got the linked ram list to show up as i couldnt select an option for it to show 3466 manually but thats wrong info for the 1800x
