M.2 SSD not showing up in UEFI/Bios

   I have the B550m Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard. I just finished building my pc but my SSD is not showing up saying it is on the board. I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. I have read that flash installing bios would help, if so does the flash install need to be downloaded from a Windows computer instead of a mac?
