Hi,
Soon I will be buying ASRock B550M Pro4 board. This one has 2 M.2 2280 slots to install M.2 SSDs. First M.2_1 slot has heatsink on it I refer to the first M.2_1 slot. The manual is bit confusing. I have 2 questions. Underside of the M.2_1 heatsink is a plastic tape that needs to be removed before installing. Is there any thermal pad therein and if so will it badly get stuck to the M.2 SSD top£ I mean later when I remove Heatsink the thermal pad in any way any should not rip off any sticker off the M.2 SSD£ Is the 2280 position screw different from the heatsink screw or both get fixed at the same spot£ i.e. Do I first fix the M.2 SSD at 2280 screw position and then the heatsink on top further extends beyond that point and it has its own screw to be fixed or do both ends join at a single screw at 2280 position. The manual does not say anything about how to replace heatsink! The picture in manual is a bit confusing. Thanks. ![]() |
